Description

In this chapter, we will provide an overview of the nutrient profile of commonly used by-product feeds, how they are generated, and the limitations associated with their use in animal rations. We will focus on dried distillers’ grains with solubles (DDGS) because of its use across different livestock production systems and will specifically assess the impact of DDGS on the production performance of swine, poultry, and beef and dairy cattle and on the environment through published life-cycle analysis.
