Vegetable producers around the world are confronted with the daunting task of managing ever-evolving pests and pathogens with a limited number of effective chemical management tools. This chapter examines examples of successful deployment of integrated pest management (IPM) in vegetable cultivation, such as treatment of tomato spotted wilt and the use of methyl bromide. The chapter includes a detailed case study of IPM in fresh-market tomatoes.
